§ Mr. Kenneth ClarkeWe allocate funds to the Mersey regional health authority and it allocates part of these funds to the Wirral health authority for the provision of all its services. These allocations are not usually broken down into resources for individual units because that is a matter for the management of each district health authority to determine according to national policy guidelines and their own judgment of local priorities. We allocated £503 million revenue expenditure to Mersey regional health authority for the year 1985–86 which is an increase of 4.9 per cent. over its 1984–85 funding.
