§ Mr. John PattenThe offering of human tissues for profit is contrary to a Council of Europe resolution to which this country is signatory, and is opposed by the Transplantation Society and the British Transplantation Society. We have no hesitation in condemning this abhorrent practice, and are at present considering the most effective way of preventing it. Unethical conduct by medical practitioners is a matter for the General Medical Council.
