§ Mr. MellorThe hon. Member wrote to my noble Friend on 25 October enclosing wide-ranging complaints made by a former prisoner at Wakefield. The person concerned also raised these matters directly with the governor, and through other channels. These matters have now been fully investigated and my noble Friend will write to the hon. Member as soon as possible. We have also received in the last six months six petitions from other prisoners about aspects of their medical treatment.
