Mr. Kilroy-Silk

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how many applications for licences to kill herons there were in 1983, 1984 and so far this year; how many were granted; how many herons were allowed to be killed in each case; how many were actually killed; what were the reasons for granting or refusing licences; what was the location of the applicant; what was the reason for the application; how many site visits were made; what deterrent measures were taken; and what organisations he consulted before deciding on the applications.
