HC Deb 25 March 1985 vol 76 c83W
Mr. McQuarrie

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland when the dual carriageway from Perth to Aberdeen will be completed; and if he has any plans to extend this route to include a dual carriageway from Aberdeen to Peterhead, St. Fergus and Fraserburgh.

Mr. Ancram

On present plans, approximately nine-tenths of the Perth-Aberdeen route should be dual carriageway by the end of the decade and the remainder will be completed as soon as possible thereafter. Dual carriageway proposals north of Aberdeen are in hand for the A92 at Tipperty, between Murcar and Balmedie, and on the southern section of Ellon bypass. The Scottish Development Department has no plans to extend the dual carriageway beyond Ellon to Peterhead, St. Fergus and Fraserburgh.
