§ 43. Mr. Ashleyasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he proposes to make any changes in the mandatory requirements for the qualifications of teachers concerned with special education.
§ Mr. DunnMy right hon. Friends the Secretary of State and the Secretary of State for Wales are considering a recommendation by the Advisory Committee on the Supply and Education of Teachers that the mandatory requirement for teachers of classes of deaf, partially hearing or blind pupils to hold a specialist qualification should be removed. My right hon. Friends will announce their decision in due course.
§ 46. Mr. Pikeasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science when he intends to reply to the recommendations of the Advisory Committee on the Supply and Education of Teachers' report on special education and teacher training.
§ 48. Mr. Fisherasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science when he will be replying to the Advisory Committee on the Supply and Education of Teachers' report on the training of teachers for children with learning difficulties.
