§ Mrs. FennerThe informal discussions which have taken place between MAFF and DHSS officials and 439W representatives of the food industry were essentially to consider the practicalities of fat content labelling of food and did not involve issues of health and safety at work. Following my announcement on 12 March, at column 79, of initial proposals in response to the recommendations of the report of the Committee on Medical Aspects of Food Policy on diet and cardiovascular disease we intend to consult widely with all interested parties (including the Health Education Council) before drawing up firm proposals for further labelling requirements.
