HC Deb 07 March 1985 vol 74 c602W
Mr. Steel

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will uprate the £4 earnings limit for persons in receipt of supplementary benefit in such a way as to restore the value it had in 1975.

Mr. Whitney

We have no plans to do so, but the treatment of earnings was one of the matters considered by the supplementary benefit review last year. We shall be announcing the proposals arising from the review in due course.
