§ Mr. RifkindRestrictions on arms sales to Israel were imposed following the Israeli invasion of Lebanon in 1982. These restrictions can be reviewed as Israeli withdrawal is completed. The Israeli occupation of Syrian, Jordanian and Egyptian territory in 1967 took place in different circumstances and no such restrictions were then imposed.
