§ The Prime MinisterThe British interests section of the Italian embassy in Libya raised Mr. Maxwell's case with the appropriate Libyan authorities at a senior level in September and again in November 1984. A reply is awaited.
I understand that Mr. King's lawyer is making an appeal against his recent sentence.
The British interests section continues to keep a close and active interest in both cases.
