§ 33. Mr. Foulkesasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he has made any calculation of the increase in either income tax or national insurance contributions which will result from the proposals contained in the Green Paper on the reform of social security and the impact of any such increases on the tax and price index.
§ Mr. MooreThe implications for national insurance contributions of phasing out the state earnings related pension scheme are outlined in the Green Paper "Reform of Social Security"—volume 2, chapter 1, paragraphs 1.62–1.64. The Green Paper proposals will reduce rather than increase income tax.
