§ Mr. Ron Daviesasked the Secretary of State for Scotland what plans the Forestry Commission has for a systematic survey of trees outside its plantations, to examine them for symptoms similar to those of acid rain damage in Holland, France or Germany.
§ Mr. John MacKayThe Forestry Commission's plantations are widely distributed throughout Great Britain and occur at a wide range of elevations. In view of the good cover thus provided, it is not intended to make a systematic survey of trees outside these areas.
