Mr. Leighton

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department (1) if he will make a statement on the circumstances in which Mr. Parvaiz Khan received injuries whilst in custody at the Old Bailey on 22 May;

(2) if he will make a statement on the circumstances in which Mr. Parvaiz Khan was injured on Wednesday 22 May during the lunchtime adjournment at his trial at the Old Bailey.

The incident is being investigated by the City of London police and it would not be appropriate for me to comment at this stage.
