§ Mr. Macfarlane[pursuant to the reply, 15 July 1985, c. 29]: I have been asked to reply. Whilst a scheme for the revitalisation of the Leeds and Liverpool canal is known 216W to be under consideration locally in Lancashire, no firm proposals have yet been put forward. I cannot therefore say whether any financial assistance would be available.
