As at April 1985 it 9W is estimated that 14 per cent. of 16 to 18-year-olds and 17.1 per cent. of 16 to 24-year-olds were unemployed in Wales. At the same date the proportion of 16 to 18-year-olds unemployed for over one year was estimated at 2.1 per cent. and that of 16 to 24-year-olds 5.3 per cent.
