§ Mr. Proctorasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether, in their attitude towards representations from foreign Governments concerning events in the United Kingdom, Her Majesty's Government differentiate between the Government of the Irish Republic and other foreign Governments.
§ Mr. RentonOur attitude towards such representations depends on their nature and our relations with the Governments concerned. We have close relations with the Government of the Republic of Ireland and are ready to listen to their views.
