§ Mr. DunnMy right hon. Friend welcomes the growing participation of parents in their children's school education and has noted that this report acknowledges and illustrates the benefits to schools of parental involvement on a voluntary basis. As respects the concern expressed about some aspects of current arrangements, it is for head teachers, governing bodies and local education authorities to settle the forms that parental involvement might take and for authorities to settle the staffing complements for schools in the light of legal requirements, local priorities and available resources.
