§ Dr. Roger Thomasasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will set up and finance an independent inquiry into the possible ill effects of working visual display units on all stages of pregnancy.
§ Mr. John PattenNo. An international conference held in London on 29–30 November 1984 on allegations of reproductive hazards from visual display units concluded that there was no evidence to suggest that any hazards existed. Research, however, continues and is reviewed regularly by both the Health and Safety Executive and this Department.
