Mr. Rooker

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will list the water authorities which increase the fluoride ion content of all or part of the public water supply in England, Wales and Scotland.

Mr. Macfarlane

The Anglian, Northumbrian, North West, Severn-Trent, Thames, Yorkshire and Welsh water authorities increased the fluoride ion content of some of the public water supplies in their areas.

Mr. Rooker

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what recent medical research evidence he considered before introducing the Water (Fluoridation) Bill.
