§ Mr. Norman LamontThe Commission has now adopted a regulation which should help to ensure that consumers benefit from a genuine common market for motor vehicles in which they are free to buy, across geographical boundaries if necessary, from whichever source offers the most favourable terms. This should contribute to a continuing erosion of price differentials.
