§ Mr. Wigleyasked the Secretary of State for Wales if he will take steps to ensure that official figures are available by county of the allocation of both primary quotas and secondary quotas, and the transfer of quotas, and to inform farmers who may be involved in his quota schemes that information concerning their individual allocation may be used in this manner, or published in a way which could identify individual farm statistics.
§ Mr. Nicholas EdwardsDetails of quota allocations and transfers are contained in a register maintained by the milk marketing boards. Access to this information is limited to people with an interest in the holding. It may be possible, in due course, to publish a geographical breakdown depending upon the limits of confidentiality and cost.
