HC Deb 25 February 1985 vol 74 c35W
Dr. Marek

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs how many inspections are made on crayfish catches at Tristan da Cunha; and if he will give details of the last occasion when a contravention of the regulations occurred.

Mr. Renton

The catches of all crayfish vessels are inspected by the Tristan fisheries officer prior to departure from Tristan da Cunha. Catches of island-based boats are also inspected each fishing day. The last contravention occurred on 4 January 1984, when undersized fish were found on the MV Tristania.
