asked the Secretary of State for Transport what was the total cost of the "Stay Low" Christmas drink-drive campaign; and when the research regarding the outcome of this campaign is scheduled for publication.

The total cost of this campaign including research was £1.22 million. A full assessment on the effects of the campaign requires analysis of accident and casualty figures as well as the results of our attitude research among the 16 to 19-year-old target audience. This information should be available in the spring.
