HC Deb 22 February 1985 vol 73 c628W
Mr. Deakins

asked the Secretary of State for Defence what are the payment arrangements for United Kingdom arms exported to Third world countries; and what are the terms of any credit given.

Mr. Lee

When selling arms to Third world and other countries a number of factors need to be taken into consideration including the nature of the equipment, the state of the economy of the customer and the value of the sale. Payment arrangement and credit terms vary in accordance with these factors.
