§ Mr. Peter Bruinvelsasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will call for a report from the chief constable of Leicestershire as to the cost of policing various rallies in Leicester on Sunday 3 February and the number of police being brought in from outside police forces; which forces were involved; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. Giles ShawI understand from the chief constable of Leicestershire that assistance was provided by 250 officers from the Metropolitan police. I will write to my hon. Friend about the cost of the police operation as soon as the information is available.
