§ Mr. Hillasked the Secretary of State for the Environment what representations he has received regarding Reema Conclad houses; and whether this category can be added to those covered by the Housing Defects Act.
§ Mr. GowI have received correspondence about the mortgagability of Reema Conclad houses from my hon. Friend the Member for Eastleigh (Sir D. Price) and the Department's regional office has received a letter on the same subject from Southampton city council. I am not aware of any reports of defects in Reema Conclad dwellings. There is therefore no basis on which my right hon. Friend could consider designating this type of dwelling under the Housing Defects Act 1984.
