§ Mr. Kilroy-Silkasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what were the numbers of women in prison at the latest available date who had their children with them; and what were their location, the ages of the children and the sentence being served by the mother and the offence she had committed or was alleged to have committed.
§ Mr. MellorOn 1 February 1985, there were 21 women in custody with their children. The establishment, age of children and sentence details of the mothers are as follows:
