§ Mr. Austin Mitchellasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry whether he will publish in the Official Report a table showing the United Kingdom deficit with the EEC in 1984 in (a) trade in manufactures less precious stones and (b) total imports less crude oil and precious stones.
§ Mr. ChannonIn 1984, the deficit on trade in manufactures less precious stones was £7.8 billion on the balance of payments basis. For total trade less crude oil and precious stones the deficit is estimated to have been £10.3 billion on the same basis.
