How much coal has been imported, and from where, since the appointment of Mr. MacGregor as chairman of the National Coal Board?

Coal imports during the period of 26 months from 1st September 1983 to 31st October 1985 amounted to around 20 million tonnes. The main countries of origin were as follows:
