The most recent information on Switzerland is contained in "Comparative Tables of the Social Security Systems in Council of Europe Member States not belonging to the European Communities" (situation at 1 July 1984) published by the Council of Europe. Information on Japan is contained in "Social Security Programs Throughout the World 1983", published by the United States Department of Health and Human Services.
