§ 21. Mr. Cyril Smithasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if he will estimate the cost in the present fiscal year and for five fiscal years hence of Her Majesty's Government's subvention to Ulster.
§ Dr. BoysonThe subvention for 1985–86 is estimated to be £1,468 million. Estimates are not available for future years because a number of the figures which form part of the calculation can only be forecast accurately on an in-year basis.
