§ Mr. Luce[pursuant to his reply, 5 December 1985, c. 337]The British film industry is funded by venture capital; it is not a subsidised industry. My right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry has been responsible for recycling funds from the distribution side of the industry to the production side under the provisions of the former Films Acts 1960 to 1980.
