asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will list the current members of each regional and district health authority and family practitioner committee.

Mr. Hayhoe

District health authority members are appointed by regional health authorities. The information the hon. Member requires is not therefore held centrally but may be obtained from the chairman of the regional health authority concerned. A list of current members of family practitioner committees has been placed in the Library. Current members of regional health authorities are as follows:

Regional health authorities appoint members of district health authorities and, before 1 April 1985, district health authorities appointed members of family practitioner committees. The hon. Member may therefore wish to contact the chairmen of the health authorities concerned for the information he requires which is not held centrally.
