§ Mr. Chris PattenThe Government's White Paper "Better Schools" envisages all schools, including inner city schools, offering a curriculum which is broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated, within the framework of appropriate LEA policies. Her Majesty's Inspectorate is currently issuing a series of curriculum discussion documents which cover the age-range five to 16 and offer guidance about the design of the curriculum as a whole and in its parts, including such matters as differentiation of work to meet the range of ability to be found in schools.
