Children in Care (Hansard, 3 December 1985)

§ Mr. Foulkes
asked the Secretary of State for Scotland (1) how many children were received into care annually over the most recent three-year period for which statistics are available in each regional and island area.
(2) how many children were received into care under section 15 of the Social Work (Scotland) Act 1968 annually over the most recent three-year period for which statistics are available in each regional and island area;

The table shows the information for all regions and island areas except Strathclyde, for which no information is available, for the three years ending 31 March 1984.
(d) section 44(1)(b) supervision order, including type of residential establishment and (e) supervision order terminated, in each regional and island area.

§ Mr. John MacKay
The figures given relate to the number of referrals to children's hearings in each calendar year. A child may be referred more than once in any one year.
