§ Mr. Johnasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what additional revenue he expects to be yielded in a full year by the increased charges and new charges for analytical and diagnostic services provided by the Agricultural Development and Advisory Service which will have effect from 1 December; and whether this is included in the £5 million which he expects to be yielded in 1987–88 by charging for the Agricultural Development Advisory Service advisory work.
§ Mr. GummerI expect these changes to yield some £446,000 additional revenue in a full financial year. To the extent that this additional income reduces the operating deficit on the agricultural services scheme, it will contribute to the overall earnings target for ADAS in 1987–88.
§ Mr. Home Robertsonasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he intends to provide 100W additional funds for the Agricultural Development and Advisory Service to cover the cost of the free analysis of hay and silage that he announced in his statement in the House on 28 November.
