HL Deb 29 April 1985 vol 463 c110WA
Lord Brockway

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they will protest against the decision of the New Zealand Rugby Union to send a team to South Africa.

The Minister of State, Department of the Environment (Lord Elton)

No. The Government, like the New Zealand Government, are disappointed by the decision of the New Zealand Rugby Football Union to tour South Africa this summer, but recognise that the decision is one for the sports body concerned rather than governments.
