§ Mr. Jannerasked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he is satisfied with the equality of opportunities in his Department in so far as they concern sex and race discrimination; and what advice has lately been given to staff in his Department in respect thereof by the officer designated as equal opportunities officer with responsibility for giving such advice.
§ Mr. YoungerYes. The implementation of the programme of action on equal opportunities for women in the Civil Service is being progressed in my Department by a joint management and trade union group and advice is being given to staff as matters are agreed by the group. No new advice on race discrimination has lately been given to staff.
