§ Mrs. ChalkerNo. In a case of this nature the local plannng authority is required to consult my Department only where it appears to it that the development is likely to create or attract traffic which will result in a material increase in the volume of traffic entering or leaving a trunk road. I assume that the local planning authority—in this case Alnwick district council—did not consider that the proposed grain dryer at Swarland would be likely to create or attract such traffic.
