§ Mr. Ralph Howellasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will list those member countries of the European Economic Community in which no comprehensive list of milk producers exists.
§ Mr. MacGregor[pursuant to his reply, 15 April 1985, c. 26]: Member states use lists of milk producers for various different purposes (co-responsibility, supplementary levy, milk and dairy hygiene) All member states are required to keep records of producers who deliver milk to dairies for the purpose of co-responsibility levy (except in the mountainous areas). For milk quota purposes member states also need to maintain records of these producers making direct sales of milk or milk products. Complete information on the ways in which such lists are compiled and held is not readily available.
