Mr. Dubs

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will issue guidance to all police forces concerning membership of the Freemasons similar to the recent guidance issued by the Metropolitan police.

Mr. Giles Shaw

I understand that all chief officers of police have received copies of the Metropolitan police guidance and some have already issued similar guidance to their forces.

I do not think further action is necessary.
