§ Mr. Peter MorrisonThe employment manager for the Yorkshire and Humberside region of the Manpower Services Commission prepared first draft proposals for the development of the jobcentre network in his region in June, in the light of the broad strategy for the development of the employment service approved by the commission and endorsed by the Government. These proposals included details of the services to be provided in Barnsley. Copies were sent to area manpower boards and other interested parties including the hon. Member for consultation. Final proposals are now being prepared taking into consideration the views of all those consulted.
