Mr. Barry Jones

asked the Secretary of State for Wales if he will estimate the net saving to the Forestry Commission through the amalgamation of its Cardiff and Aberystwyth offices.

The Forestry Commission estimates that the savings will be in the region of £250,000 per annum.

asked the Secretary of State for Wales how many acres of woodland in Wales have been sold by the Forestry Commission to the latest date for which figures are available.

Information as to the origin of contraction is available only for paratyphoid fever and then only whether contracted within Great Britain as a whole or abroad. Of the 12 cases notified, between 1980 and 1984, four were presumed to have been contracted in Great Britain.
