HC Deb 30 November 1984 vol 68 c604W
Mr. Maclennan

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he has anything to add to the answer of 22 November to the hon. Member for Caithness and Sutherland, Official Report, column 392, about proposals made by the Equal Opportunities Commission for legislative changes.

Mr. Waddington

I understand that proposals for amending the law on sex equality, originally submitted in 1981 and revised in 1982, no longer represent the commission's current thinking and that they will be replaced by new proposals, which we expect to receive next year.
