HC Deb 28 November 1984 vol 68 c475W
Dr. Mawhinney

asked the Secretary of State for Energy how much of the initial finance of the Coal Board Enterprise Company has so far been allocated.

Mr. Peter Walker

[pursuant to the reply, 26 November 1984, c. 609]: I informed the House that the initial funds of £5 million provided to the new company by the National Coal Board would be kept under review. I have today agreed to the National Coal Board doubling the funds available to NCB (Enterprise) Ltd. from £5 million to £10 million. This figure will be kept under review and will be increased further when the need arises. I am pleased that the company has already received 150 inquiries.
