asked the Secretary of State for Transport whether it remains his policy to re-erect crash barriers along the A12 motorway in Chelmsford.

No provision has been made to incorporate crash barriers in the A12 Chelmsford bypass. I am however considering again whether they can be justified under the Department's criteria.
