§ Mr. Tony Banksasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what progress has been made by the police in the training required by the implementation of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act.
§ Mr. Giles ShawGood progress has been made in the preparation of training packages by the Home Office's central planning and instructor training unit and by the Metropolitan police. The programme of training each serving officer will begin in the course of next year.
