Mr. Litherland

asked the Secretary of State for Wales if he will list for each of the faults (a) to (e) specified in his Department's letter of 5 October 1983, those authorities which have undertaken, are undertaking or are planing to undertake remedial works on Bison wall frame buildings with respect to each fault specified.

Mr. Wyn Roberts

According the information available to the Department, none at present.

Mr. Litherland

asked the Secretary of State for Wales if he will list those authorities which have appraised or are appraising their Bison wall frame dwellings for possible faults (a) in the connections between wall and floor panels and in the restraint of load-bearing walls, (b) in parapet fixing, (c) in the ties between inner and outer leaves of external cladding panels and (d) with spalling concrete or loose aggregate finishes.

I understand that Wrexham Maelor borough council, Montgomery district council and Lliw Valley borough council have appraised their dwellings with these possible faults in mind.

asked the Secretary of State for Wales if he will list those local authorities which have replied to his Department's letter of 5 October 1983 about Bison wall frame dwellings, together with the dates on which each reply was received.

asked the Secretary of State for Wales what progress he has made in consultations with Delyn borough council on the release to the National Asociation of Bison Tenants and others of the report on Bison wall frame buildings prepared for the council by the Building Research Establishment.

Delyn has agreed to the information in the report being released.
