HC Deb 22 November 1984 vol 68 c278W
Mr. McQuarrie

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if, in view of the number of fatal and other accidents on the A92 Aberdeen to Fraserburgh road and the A952 Toll of Burness to Peterhead road, he will now investigate the possibility of providing dual carriageways on these roads.

Mr. Ancram

The A92 between Toll of Burness and the A952 junction south of Rathen is a non-trunk route and is therefore the responsibility of Grampian regional council.

Improvements to dual carriageway standards are planned for the trunk route section of A92 at Tipperty; between Murcar and Balmedie; and on the southern section of the Ellon bypass. Traffic volumes and accident records do not suggest that additional dual carriageway standard improvements are needed on A92 or A952 at present.
