Lloyd asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will indicate the number of fiancés who were refused entry clearance to enter the United Kingdom in the last 12 months on the grounds that their primary purpose was other than marriage.

Fiances refused entry clearance in the Indian subcontinent solely or partly because the primary purpose of the marriage was to obtain admission to the United Kingdom.
